Junior Waldron

Charles “June” Waldron, Jr., age 83, of Maysville,  WV went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at his home.  He was born August 11, 1936 in Cabins, WV and was a son of the late Charles Edward Waldron and Zernie Mae (Heavener) Waldron.

In addition to his parents, “June” was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly S. Waldron Ketterman; infant grandson, Joey Ketterman; great grandson, Ernest “Ernie” Berg; two sisters, Nellie Mae Kimble and Mary Alice Largen; five brothers, Melvin “Meb” Waldron, Robert “Bob” Waldron, Brosie A. Waldron, Roscoe V. Waldron and an infant brother.

On August 31, 1956 “June”married Glenna Mae (Barger) Waldron who survives; also surviving two sons, Gerald “Chub” Waldron and wife, Becky of Maysville, WV and Randy Waldron and wife Sandy of Petersburg, WV; four grandsons, Billy Ketterman,and wife JoAnn;  Barry Haynes and wife Pam, Adam Waldron and wife Tina and Alex Waldron; one granddaughter, Adrianna Waldron; four great grandchildren, Bradley Waldron, Brandon Waldron, and Bryan Waldron and Lucas Haynes;  son-in-law, Cletus Ketterman, Jr. of Maysville, WV; three sisters, Ruth Daniels Brackin of Trinity, Texas, Betty Jean Martin and husband Thomas of Martinsburg, WV, Nancy Dove and husband Gary of Cabins, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.

“June” was a logger and worked in Alleghany Mines for 20 plus years. He was a timberman until 2005.  He was a faithful member and Sunday School teacher of Riverside Church in Cabins, WV.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and especially grandchildren. 

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral service will be Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy George and Rev. Vivan Watts officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Maysville,WV.
