Judith Y. (Shreve) Hall

Judith Yvonne (Shreve) “Von” Hall, age 90 of Petersburg, WV passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the home of her daughter Karen Constable in Rig, WV. 

 She was born on October 27, 1933 in Smoke Hole, WV and was the daughter of the late Ona Curtis Shreve and Hazel Irene (Kimble) Shreve. In addition to her parents, Von was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Hall in 1977; one son, Randy Hall in 2013 and one brother, Walter Shreve and twin sisters, Annette Shreve Kimble and Jannette Shreve Mongold. 

Von is survived by three daughters, Connie Kuykendall (Fred) of Petersburg, WV, Peggy Kisamore of Seneca Rocks, WV, Karen Constable of Rig, WV and one son, Jay Hall of Petersburg, WV; five grandchildren, Melissa Mongold (Richard), Shane Kisamore, Monica Kuykendall, Chad Hall (Stephanie), and Tiffanie Hall; four great grandchildren, Trevor Carr, Brice Mongold, Rylie Armentrout and Myles Hall; one great-great granddaughter, Charlotte Reign Mongold and 2 expected in the spring. 

 Before retiring, Von worked at the Hermitage Inn and Restaurant in Petersburg and later worked at Fort Hill Motel as a housekeeper for 24 years, where she met a very special friend, Sarah Moomau. 

 Von loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved sitting down and taking time to have conversations with anyone. One of her favorite quotes to all of her family was “ Just hang in there”.

 In Honoring Von’s wishes, her body will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
