Joseph L. Heavener

Joseph Luther “Abb” Heavener, age 52 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.

Joe was born on June 11, 1970 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of Luther Ivan Heavener of Cabins, WV and the late Bertie (Long) Heavener.  In addition to his mother, Joe was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Lee Vance and Wilda Vance; two brothers, George W. Vance and Sidney E. Morral.

 In addition to his father, Luther Heavener, Joe is survived by one daughter, Michelle L. Heavener; two grandchildren, William Fisher and Drakely Heavener.

Joe attended Petersburg High School. Joe enjoyed farming and spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Oreo.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 3 - 6 p.m. at Camp Echo Park in Cabins, WV.
