Joe D. Swick

Joe Daniel Swick, age 38, of Spotsylvania, VA and formerly of Petersburg, WV tragically lost his life on Saturday, July 4, 2020 near his residence in Spotsylvania along with his brother, Fred A. Swick.

Joe was born on October 26, 1981 in Petersburg, WV and is survived by his parents, Michael Terry Swick and wife, Lisa of Petersburg, WV and Peggy Faye (Ours) Younce and husband, Gene of Stuart, VA; Maternal Grandmother, Annie (Ours) Davis of Franklin, WV; one daughter, Isbelle Swick of Charleston, SC and Grace Ballard, whom he raised; two brothers, Michael Swick Jr. of Virginia and Adam Swick of Petersburg, WV; one sister, Terri Swick of Petersburg, WV; aunts, Cathy Pence, Twila Swick, Rosetta Swick, Annabell Hesse and Winnie Hitt; uncles, Fred A. “Bud” Ours, Ernie, Kenny, Randy and Joe Swick Jr; nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by an infant nephew, Fred A. Swick, Jr; Maternal Grandfather, Fred Amos Ours and Paternal grandparents, Joe and Myrtle Swick.

  Joe was a loving father to his daughter Isabelle.  He enjoyed the outdoors and riding motorcycles.  He was a dedicated contractor and owned Pro-1 Renovations. 

  A Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled later.
