Jessie J. (Davis) Kimble

Jessie Josephine (Davis) Kimble, age 89 of  McHenry, Maryland  went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Jessie was born on April 23, 1935 in Kitzmiller, MD and was a daughter of the late Clyde Charles Davis and Cora Susan (Hanlin) Davis.                                        

In addition to her parents, Jessie was preceded in death by her husband Brison Edward Kimble in 2012, two sisters, Glennadine Davis and Marilyn Davis Gillaspie and one brother, Ralph Dale Davis.

 Jessie is survived by one daughter, Jodie Lynn Thomas of McHenry, MD; one grandson, Samuel Edward Thomas and wife Jennifer and great granddaughter, Klara; one sister, Donna Sue Reall and husband Larry of Ridgely, WV and one brother, David B. Davis and wife Ruth of Elk Garden, WV; sister-in-law, Darlene Davis of Elk Garden, WV and one brother-in-law, Harold Gillaspie of Mt. Storm, WV and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Jessie was a 1953 graduate of Bayard High School. She was a member of Smoke Hole Assembly of God Church and later the Moorefield Assembly of God Church where she was the Women’s Ministry leader. She attended the Glendale Assembly of God Church in Swanton, MD.

Jessie’s family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 11 AM till 1:00 PM. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  A funeral service will begin at 1:00  PM in the chapel with the Rev. Paul Goldizen officiating. 

 Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, WV. 

 The family suggests that memorials may be made to Hospice of Garrett County, P.O. Box 271,  Oakland, MD 21550.
