Jerry B. Kitzmiller

Jerry Bruce Kitzmiller, age 83, of Smyrna, TN and formerly of Mt. Storm, WV passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his home.

Mr. Kitzmiller was born on December 12, 1937 in Westernport, Maryland and was a son of the late Jesse Oliver Kitzmiller and Leona Mildred (LaRue) Kitzmiller.  In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Kitzmiller and Kenneth Kitzmiller; one sister-in-law, Anna Mae Kitzmiller.

Jerry is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Showalter) Kitzmiller; one son, Matthew Kitzmiller (Kimberly) of Murfreesboro, TN; two granddaughters, Stephanie Kitzmiller and Catarina Wooding (Brendon) of TN; five great grandchildren; six brothers, John Kitzmiller (Margaret) of Mt. Storm, WV, Robert Kitzmiller (Mary Jean) of Clearwater, Florida, Richard “Pete” Kitzmiller (Linda) of Mt. Storm, WV, Roger Kitzmiller of Mt. Storm, WV, Daniel Kitzmiller (Carla) of Purcellville, WV and Charles “Randy” Kitzmiller of Mt. Storm, WV; one sister-in-law, Barbara Kitzmiller, of Mt. Storm, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry served in the United States Army. Jerry was a long time member of LifePoint Church in Smyrna, TN where he faithfully attended and served.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the Mt. Storm Methodist Church, George Washington Highway, Mt. Storm, WV 26739.

Funeral service will be on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Storm Methodist Church with the Rev. Rebecca L. Bennett officiating.  Interment will be in Mt. Storm Cemetery, 7396 Union Highway, Mt. Storm, WV 26739 with Military Honors by the Petersburg VFW Post 6454 and West Virginia Army Honor Guard.
