Jean E. Phares

Jean Ellen Phares, age 70 of Rig, WV passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her home.

Jean was born March 1, 1951 in Burlington, WV and was the daughter of Ethel (Kisamore) Phares Dickerson of Leesburg, VA and the late Dawes Calvin Phares. 

In addition to her father, Jean is preceded in death by three brothers, Daniel C. Phares, Delbert C. Phares and infant Dawes C. Phares, Jr. one sister, Joan E. Phares.

Jean is survived by one son, William C. J. Pumphrey and wife Brittany of Rig, WV; one daughter, Jeanette E. Gray and husband Robert of Fisher, WV; six grandchildren, Heather Ours and husband Brian; Hope Gray and fiancé A.J., Cole Pumphrey, Kendall Pumphrey, Oakley Pumphrey and Laney Pumphrey; two great grandchildren, Allison and Jacob Ours; three sisters, Judy Lambert and husband Gene of Max Meadows, VA, Jayne Ramsey and husband Scott of Goodview, Virginia and Joy Phares-Troglia of Fort Myers, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was employed by Walmart in Moorefield until she was disabled.  She was a collector of Coca -Cola products.  She loved sewing and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.    

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
