James F. Western

James Francis Western, age 56 of 57 Pleasant View Drive, Maysville, WV departed this life on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at his home.
He was born January 13, 1959 in Port Clinton, Ohio and was a son of the late Frederick Charles Western and Virginia Rose (McCabe) Western.

James graduated from Kingwood High School in 1977 and served in the United States Navy for 4 years. He formerly worked for Dominion Energy and was presently employed by Verso Corporation (Luke Mill). He faithfully attended Love Christian Assembly where he served on the worship team for many years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife Lori (Harman) Western of 30 years; children, Lindsey Brooke (Michael) Porter of Fairmont, WV, Casey James (Carissa) Western of Winchester, VA; Micah Aaron Western and Jalyn Grace Western at home; grandchildren, Brooklyn Michael Porter and Paris Noel Porter; six brothers, Thomas (Sherry) Western of Nitro, WV, Paul (Ethel) Western of Petersburg, WV, Frederick Western of Petersburg, WV, William (Camille) Western of Reedsville, WV, Andrew (Tammy) Western of Petersburg, WV and John (Christine) Western of Maysville, WV; five sisters, Elizabeth (John) Simpson of Dorcas, WV, Louise (Richard) Miller of Moorefield, WV, Christine (Jim) Becker of Washington, PA, Mary (John) Williams of Alexandria, VA and Barbara (Bryan) Baxter of Arlington, VA. and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Friday, October 9, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Love Christian Assembly with Bishop Edward Murray and Pastor DixieLee Murray officiating.

Interment will be in the Maysville Cemetery with Military Honors by the United States Navy and Potomac Highlands VFW Post 6454.
