Hilda F. (Kimble) Rohrbaugh

Hilda Frances (Kimble) Rohrbaugh, age 79 of Maysville, WV passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the home of her son, Tim & Dawn Rohrbaugh.

 Hilda was born on July 12, 1944 in Upper Tract, WV and was a daughter of the late Obed Berkley Kimble and Virgie Edith (Landis) Kimble.

  In addition to her parents, Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Rohrbaugh in 2014; one daughter, Cindy Rohrbaugh Crites; three sisters, Ina Gladys Whetzel, Rosetta Hartman and Louretta Huffman; eight brothers, Richard Kimble, Raymond Kimble, Harlan Kimble, Donald Kimble, Obed Kimble, Bobby Kimble, Roy Kimble and Eston “Bud” Kimble.

 Hilda was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

  Hilda is survived by one son, Tim Rohrbaugh and wife Dawn of Maysville, WV; two grandchildren, Jami Rohrbaugh and wife Johanna and Dareck Kuykendall and wife Stephanie; 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

  Hilda was a 1964 graduate of Petersburg High School.  She worked at the Moorefield and Petersburg Sewing Factories for many years and was a member of Potomac Valley Baptist Church in Maysville. 

  Hilda’s family will receive friends Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 5 – 7 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. 

  Funeral service will be Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11 AM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Anderson and Pastor Matt Perrine officiating.   

  Interment will be in Maysville Cemetery.
