Hartzelle E. (Wilson) Hinkle

Hartzelle Elizabeth Hinkle, age 84 of Petersburg, WV passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

Mrs. Hinkle was born February 15, 1935 in Moorefield, WV and was a daughter of the late Dale Albert Wilson and Odessa Catherine (Hose) Wilson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. “Bobby” Hinkle on June 3, 1997 and one son, Ralph David Hinkle on May 19, 2017. 

She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Hinkle Smith and husband Shawn of Maysville, WV; one son Terry Lee  Hinkle and wife Gina of Dorcas, WV; daughter-in-law, Barb Hinkle of Dorcas, WV; eight grandchildren, Tonia Hinkle Berg and husband Tim,  J.D. Hinkle and wife Ashley, Nicole Hinkle, Jennifer Heishman and husband James, Kyle Hinkle, Shawna Cole and husband Shane, Samantha Smith and Lauren Smith; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one sister, Wilda George of Moorefield, WV and one brother, Chester Dale Wilson of Moorefield, WV and several special nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hinkle was a USDA inspector for Rockingham Poultry in Moorefield, WV.  She was a member of the Dorcas Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing and camping with her family and friends. 

Family will receive friends Thursday 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.

Funeral service will be Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Davis officiating.  Burial will be in North Mill Creek Cemetery, Dorcas, WV.
