Harry D. Sexton

Harry Douglas Sexton, age 74 of Cabins, WV died Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

He was born August 13, 1945 in Fayetteville, NC and was the son of the late Getties Lee Sexton and Lottie (Matthews) Sexton.                 

 In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Peck) Sexton in 2018. 

 Harry is survived by step- son, William “Joey” Oliver of Dumfries, VA and one step-daughter.

 Harry was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War during 1967-1969.  He made his career with the United States Secret Service and White House Police from 1970-1994.   After retirement he loved to play golf and was a Nascar fan.  Harry had few friends, but highly valued them.  He was a quiet, patient and honest man.

Graveside services were held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Maple Hill Cemetery with Pastor Rick Bergdoll.  Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, WV.

Memorial donations may be made in Harry’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
