Harrison “Dickie” P. Freeland, age 76, of Petersburg, WV passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Grant Memorial Hospital.

Dickie was born on August 14, 1945 in Pennsboro, WV and was a son of the late Thomas Adam Freeland and Ada Frances (Harden) Snodgrass. In addition to his parents, Dickie was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Swick) Freeland on December 9, 2020; one daughter, Connie Ann Langley; three sisters, Betty Wilson, Pat Hall and Linda Hammond; one brother, Larry Freeland.

Dickie is survived by one daughter, Tina M. Freeland of Petersburg, WV; two sons, John Freeland of Petersburg, WV and Rob (Betty) Freeland of Stephens City, VA; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister, JoAnn Robinson of Greenwood, WV; half -sister, Diana Gaskins of Petersburg, WV; half -brother, Michael Snodgrass of Harrisville, WV; several nieces and nephews.

To honor Dickie’s wishes, his body will be cremated and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
