Geraldine V. (Sites) Smith

 Geraldine Virginia (Sites) Smith age 84, of Perry Hall, MD and formerly of Grant County, West Virginia died Thursday, May 9, 2019.   

 She was born July 28, 1934 in Rough Run, WV and was a daughter of the late Denver Sites and Lula (Kessel) Sites.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Andrew Smith in 1995; one daughter, Henrietta Susan Smith; one sister, Eleanor Kesner and one brother, George Edward Sites. 

Mrs. Smith is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Lengyel; three grandchildren, George Lengyel and wife Lorie, Virginia Lengyel, Christina Rockey and husband Cristion; six great grandchildren, Dylan, Joshua Zachary, Dorian, Calliope and Samantha; and many nieces and nephews. 

Mrs. Smith was a member of Cowenton United Methodist Church for 58 years.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and mom mom as well as a quilter. 

 Visitation will be Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 6 – 8 P at Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, West Virginia.  Funeral service will be Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Hakes officiating.  Interment will be in Kline Cemetery, Upper Tract, WV.
