George Bennett Obituary

George Edward Bennett, age 67, of Cabins, WV passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021.

George was born December 20, 1953, in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the late Otis Woodrow Bennett and Katherine (Michael) Bennett. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by three brothers, Leon Bennett, Lyle Bennett and Roger Bennett.

George is survived by two sisters, Gladys (Sonny) Hedrick of Maysville, WV and Helen Goldizen of Warrenton, VA; three brothers, James “Jim” Bennett of Maysville, WV, Marvin (Jody) Bennett of Manassas, VA and Lester Bennett of Petersburg, WV; several nieces and nephews.

George attended Petersburg High School. He was a heavy equipment operator and construction worker. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Services will be private and burial in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV.
