Garry Lee known as “Jack” Keen, age 67 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026 at Grant Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family and close friends in Petersburg.
Jack was born on March 13, 1958 in Marion, Ohio and was a son of the late Shelby Keen and Joan (Fish) Keen. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by one brother, Carry Keen.
Jack is survived by his wife 38 years Linda F. (Sites) Keen; one daughter, Nikki Hinger and husband Corey of Martinsburg, WV and one son, Nathan Keen of Petersburg, WV; six grandchildren, Dylan Koontz and wife Desarae, Kaitlyn Koontz and fiancé Easton Snyder, Kennedie Hinger, Trevan Keen, Preslee Keen and Jaxon Wichael; one great grandson, Walker Koontz; one sister, Deborah Ralston of Marion, Ohio; and his uncle, Jerry Fish and Aunt Sylvia Fosnaugh and several nieces and nephews.
Jack spent his school years in Marion, Ohio and after graduation in 1970 he moved to West Virginia working with a gas company. Later he was Process Server for the Grant County Sheriff Department and worked at Pilgrim’s Pride until his health declined.
Jack loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed trapping. His passion was spending time with his family and friends and telling stories to make people laugh.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with Pastor Glenn Vance Jr. and Rick Sites officiating.
