Felicity Jenkins Obituary

Felicity Faith Jenkins

September 23, 2007 – June 3, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Felicity Faith Jenkins, 17, of New Creek, WV, who departed this life on June 3, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a horse-riding accident.

Born on September 23, 2007, in Cumberland, MD, Felicity was the cherished daughter of Elisha Judy and Freddie “Chris” Jenkins. She was a beloved sister to Gavin (Kendra), Hailey, and Kayla Jenkins, and a proud aunt to her niece Chasity and nephew Granger Jenkins.

Felicity is also survived by her grandparents John (Rita) Judy, Freddie W. Jenkins, and Sue Catterton; and by her aunts and uncles: Jonathan (Holly) Judy, Nethanel (Lori) Judy, Joshua Judy, Isaiah Judy, Tracy Lawson, and Tina (Paul) Dixon. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal great-grandparents and her infant uncle, who now welcomes her with love and peace.

Felicity was an upcoming senior at Petersburg High School. She was an enthusiastic member of the FFA, had a love for outdoors, and shared a special bond with horses that always brought her joy. Always full of laughter and light, Felicity was the life of every room. Known for her quick wit and endless movie quotes, she shared a unique bond with her siblings, making memories full of joy, laughter, and love.

Felicity had a special way of lifting spirits and bringing sunshine wherever she went. She was, as her family lovingly describes, “such a clown”—a bright, beautiful soul who made each day better just by being in it.

In thinking of her siblings, Felicity was often reminded of the words from Song of Solomon 4:7:

“You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.”

Her love, laughter, and light will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and adored her.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 6 – 8 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

A funeral service will be on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at  2 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bernard officiating.  Burial will follow in Lahmansville Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Petersburg FFA, c/o Missy Whetzel, 207 Viking Drive Petersburg, WV 26847
