Esther G. (Vance) Bergdoll

Esther Gaynel (Vance) Bergdoll, age 71, of Petersburg, WV passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Esther was born July 15, 1949 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late Walter Edgar and Blanche Elizabeth (Ours) Vance. 

On July 7, 1967, Esther married Delmas C. Bergdoll who survives; also surviving  one daughter, Teresa (Randy)  Rohrbaugh of  Petersburg, WV;  one son, Jeremy (Hope)  Bergdoll of Petersburg, WV; four grandchildren, Caleb Swick, Carmyn Rohrbaugh, Dylan Bergdoll and Brittany Cullers; two step grandchildren, Shawn Rohrbaugh and Tiffany Cooper; five step great grandchildren, Morgan Jones, Madeline Rohrbaugh, Sadie Rohrbaugh, Cayden Cooper and Chloe Cooper; three sisters, Neva Sites and Kathleen Champ both of Petersburg, WV and Joan Terry of Lexington, North Carolina; three brothers, Delmar “Boo” Vance and Gary Vance, both of Petersburg, WV and Gene Vance of Dorcas, WV.

Esther graduated from Petersburg High School in 1967.  She was a member of the Petersburg Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6454  and Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 78.  She enjoyed traveling, going to the cabin and spending time with her family.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 2 PM in the Lahmansville Cemetery with Pastor Calvin Redman officiating.  

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, all individuals who attend will be required to maintain social distancing and wear face coverings.
