Elaine E. Vance

Elaine Elizabeth Vance, age 76 of Petersburg, WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

She was born November 22, 1943 in Petersburg, WV and was the daughter of Elizabeth (Parsons) Vance of Petersburg, WW and the late James Luther Vance.

In addition to her father, Elaine was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert J. “Bobby” Vance and infant Darl Vance.

Elaine is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Vance of Petersburg, WV and her sister, Marietta Vance Smalling of Petersburg, WV; two nephews, R. J. Vance II and wife Kristen and William G. “Bill” Vance of Petersburg, WV; two great nieces, Haley and Katrina Vance and two great nephews, Austin and Jamie Vance; one great-great niece, Zoey Bergeron;  two great-great nephews, Riley and Brayden Bergeron. 

Elaine was a graduate of Petersburg High School Class of 1963.  She was a member of Sites Chapel United Methodist Church.

Family will receive friends Thursday from 5 – 8 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg.  Please be prepared to adhere to all CDC Guidelines.

Funeral service will be Friday, June 26, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Harrison officiating.  Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery.  Please be prepared to adhere to all CDC Guidelines.
