Elaine (Smith) Soltzberg

Helen Elaine (Smith) Soltzberg, age 81 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Thursday,

April 20, 2023, at Cortland Acres Rehabilitation and Care Center in Thomas, WV.

Elaine was born on September 12, 1941, in Cabins, WV and was a daughter of the late George Eston Smith and Lona Belle (Landis) Smith.  In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded by her husband, Milton Soltzberg on April 24, 1995 and one sister, Wilda J. Helmick. 

Elaine is survived by her sister, Nancy L. George and husband Toney of Petersburg, WV and her brother, Harold E. Smith of Maysville, WV; several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Elaine was a 1960 graduate of Petersburg High School.  She formerly worked for B.F. Saul Company, Alexandria, VA. Elaine was a member of the Lahmansville United Methodist Church. She was a member and secretary of the Lahmansville CEOS Club and past Chair of the Marketing and Membership Committee of the Grant County CEOS Council.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday 2:00 p.m., April 30, 2023 in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Reverends Roger and Ann Harrison officiating.  Elaine's family will receive friends from 1 till 2 p.m.
