Edwin Cowger Obituary
Edwin P. "Runt" Cowger, died peacefully on May 14, 2016 at the age of 101 surrounded by his family.
He had been a resident of Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center for the past 11 months, prior to that he had lived independently in his own home.
"Runt" was preceded in death by his parents, Nell and Parren, his wife, Virginia and his sister, Mary Alice.
"Runt" leaves behind two daughters, Sarah Jackson and Ann Spurio, two granddaughters, Amy and Patricia and three great grandchildren, Nathan, Rebecca and Kayam.
"Runt" was an active member of Main Street United Methodist Church and a member of the Petersburg Masonic Lodge No. 145 A.F. & A. M.
He will be missed by many friends and family who hold him dear.
There will be a Celebration of life service on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Main Street United Methodist Church with a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting a donation to West Virginia University Extension Service, 4-H State Camp Fund (2V533), WVU Extension services, Box 6031, Morgantown, WV 26506.
