Edward Lee Judy age 69 of Gulfport, Mississippi and formerly of Petersburg, WV passed away on May 29, 2024 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital.
Edward was born on October 23, 1954 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of Leda (Ours) Judy Kite of Moorefield, WV and the late Harry Edward Judy. In addition to his father, Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie F. (Wilkins) Judy in 2016.
As a devoted, military spouse and loving father, he traveled with his wife and daughter and resided at various locations throughout the United States and abroad but called Gulfport home for the last 44 years. Edward was a dedicated military service man, retiring as an E9 Master Chief from NMCB1 at NCBC Gulfport.
Edward was a loyal man and succeeded at everything he involved himself in. He loved life, the Lord that he served daily, his family, and the many friends he made throughout his years in the service. He was a loving, hard-working, selfless person who will be remembered for the love of serving his country, his strong mind and his ability to get through anything he put his mind to. He never met a stranger or missed an opportunity to help others in need. He always pushed his loved ones to do great things and saw the best in everything.
Edward is survived by his loving Mother, Leda (Ours) Judy Kite and stepfather, Jack Kite of Moorefield, WV; daughters Jennifer Judy Hardin and Chloe Judy; two grandchildren, Raleigh Amir Williams and Noah Kortez Judy; brother, Kenneth H. Judy and wife Lynn of Moorefield, WV and two nephews.
Military Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV with Pastor John Moyers officiating. Military honors will be accorded by Grant County Veterans Honor Guard and United States Navy Honor Guard.
