Edgar E. Reel

Edgar Eston Reel, age 90 of Moorefield, WV passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg.

He was born August 18, 1929 in Cabins, WV and was a son of the late Charles Edward Reel and Ellen (Carr) Reel.

In addition to his parents, Edgar was preceded in death by his first wife, Beulah Virginia (Alt) Kimble Reel in 1976; and his second wife, Etta (Hedrick) Reel in 2017; four step sons, Roy Kimble, Marvin Kimble, Richard Kimble and Charles Kimble.  two sisters, Dorothy Sites and Mary Catherine Burgess; three brothers, William Henry Reel, Branson Ray Reel and Robert Frederick Reel; one step daughter, Catherine Cook.

Edgar is survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren;  one sister, Annie Shepherd of New York; one brother, David Charles Reel of Needmore, WV; sister-in-law, Linda (Hancel) Ketterman of Seneca Rocks, WV; brother-in-law, Bruce Sites of Durgon, WV; one step son, Harland Kimble of Oldtown,Maryland and several nieces and nephews.   

Edgar retired from Pilgrim’s Pride in Moorefield after 38 years.  He attended Corner United Methodist Church, Cabins, WV. 

Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with the Rev. Stanley Kile officiating.

Burial will be in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery at Maysville, WV.
