Douglas W. Wilson

 Douglas Wayne Wilson, age 56 of Moorefield, WV passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

Doug was born on March 18, 1969 in Baltimore, MD and was the son of the late LeRoy Wilson and Brenda Lee (Higgs) Kibler.  In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Wilson and Bonus Dad, Ronald Kibler.

Doug is survived by four daughters, Jennifer Wilson of Petersburg, WV, Cassandra Wilson of Petersburg, WV, Jessica Wilson of Moorefield, WV and Kayla Bolyard of Petersburg, WV and one son, Travis Bolyard of Petersburg, WV; seven grandchildren, Riley and Aaleiya Stearns, Chase and Kylo Collins, Ariana, Aiden and Alex Coakley;  and fiancé, Donna Day of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Tracey Wilson, Regina Gensler and one brother, Tony Wilson, all of Woodstock, VA and several nieces and nephews.

Doug was a mechanic at Country Cars and Trucks in Petersburg, WV. At work he gained the nickname of “Automotive Doctor”. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed nature. His new passion was cutting wood with his new chain saw. He enjoyed company with his dog Shadow. His favorite movies were A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation.

A Celebration of Life  will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at Brighton Park in the Multi-Purpose Room in Moorefield, WV.
