Dorothy J. (Davis) Cullers

Dorothy Jean (Davis) Cullers, age 83 of Moorefield, WV went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

Dorothy was born on September 19, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Homer Davis and Mabel (Simon) Davis.  In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Cullers in 1980.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Donna L. Sampsell (Robert) of Fisher, WV and Tara J. Rico (Alberto) of Moorefield, WV; one son, Greg B. Cullers (Deb) of Moorefield, WV; four grandchildren, Vanessa R. May (John) of Moorefield, WV, Leticia X. Rico (Trey) of Moorefield, WV, Orlando G. Rico of Moorefield, WV and Brandon Ketterman of Moorefield, WV; five great grandchildren, Zane S. May, Wrenna N. Bolt, Keaton Ketterman, Ava Ketterman and Leia Ketterman; three brothers, Harold Davis (Ramona) of Moorefield, WV, John Davis (Rosalba) of Italy and Homer Davis, Jr. (Debbie) of Burlington, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was a 1960 graduate of Moorefield High School.  She retired from Hester Industries after 30 years. She was a member of Harpers Chapel Church of the Brethren in Moorefield, WV where she served as treasurer for 30 plus years.   She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In honoring Dorothy’s request, her body will be cremated and a Memorial service will be held on Saturday at 4:00 P.M. February 1, 2025 at the Moorefield Assembly of God Church in Moorefield, WV with the Rev. Harold Cullers and Dennis Helmick officiating.  Family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at the church.
