Donna Peck Sexton

     Donna Jean (Peck) Sexton, age 74, of Cabins, WV passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018  as a result of a motor vehicle accident near Petersburg, WV.

     Donna was born November 3, 1943 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late Hugh Troy Peck and Jean Macie (Ashenfelter) Peck. 

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey Scott Peck.

      Donna graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1961.  She retired from the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Prince William County Virginia; She was an active member of the Main Street United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. 

     Donna’s passion was cooking, reading and painting.  She loved to make quilts and spending time at the beach with friends.  

     Donna is survived by her husband Harry D. Sexton; one daughter, Susan J. Oliver of Petersburg, WV; one son, William “Joey” Oliver of Montclair, VA; four grandchildren, Luke Sigler, Samantha Green, Nicholas Romano and Noah Garcia; six great grandchildren; two brothers, Louis “Butch” Peck of Petersburg, WV and David Lawrence Peck of Dale City, VA. and one sister, Beth A. Lewis of Martinsburg, WV. 

      Friends will be received from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nathan Epling officiating.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, WV.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Moomau Grant Public Library, 18 Mt. View Street, Petersburg, WV 26847.
