Donna Aretta Riggleman Conner, age 83, formerly of Cabins, WV passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.
She was born August 2, 1937 in Eglon, WV and was a daughter of the late Gilbert Arros Rumer and Idella Agnes (Harsh) Rumer.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by both husbands, Ersel B. Riggleman in 2006 and Robert Conner in 2014; great grandson, Tristan D. Sherman; one brother, Arvin Rumer.
Donna is survived by three sons, Rocky B. (Sandy) Riggleman of Maysville, WV, Ricky A. Riggleman of Cabins, WV and Jay L. (Tina) Riggleman of Maysville, WV; one daughter, Nina B. (Bob) Ringwald of Mt. Pleasant, SC; six grandchildren, Valerie D. Riggleman; Eric A. Riggleman, Kari B. (Brent) Combs, Shane L. (Misty) Riggleman, Chasity N. Hevener and Kandra S. (Matt) Cunningham; eight great-grandchildren, Sable N. Backus, Axel A. Riggleman, Bailey Grace Dixon, Madison L. Combs, Adalynn G. Hevener, Collin J. Combs, Ella R. Riggleman and Zoey Kate Cunningham; three great-great grandchildren, Ellie Grace, Lilyanne R. and Magnolia D. Backus two brothers, Alvin E. “Bub” Rumer of Petersburg, WV and Glenn N. (Shelby) Rumer of Greenbelt, MD and one sister, Evelyn Kathleen “Kay” (Jerry) Simmons of Abingdon, VA and several nieces and nephews.
Donna was a retired school bus driver for Grant County Board of Education after 18 years. She was a founding member of the Jordan Run CEOS (Community Educational Outreach Service) Club in l975. She served as the Grant County CEOS President in 2006-2007. She was selected as the Grant County Belle in 2008 and participated in the West Virginia State Folk Festival in Glenville, WV. She also was a member of the Red Hat Club.
All services will be private and interment will be in Newhouse Cemetery at Rig, WV.
