Dollene Kay (Eskridge) Wilson, age 77 of Petersburg, WV passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at E.A. Hawse Healthcare Center in Baker, WV.
Dollene was born on February 24, 1948 in Petersburg, WV and was the daughter of the late Paul Franklin Eskridge and Mable Virginia (Sites) Eskridge.
Dollene is survived by one daughter, Dorene K. VanMeter and husband Randy of Cabins, WV; two sons, Daniel B. Wilson and wife Patricia of Woodstock, VA and Derick E. Wilson and wife Heather Bergdall of Moorefield, WV; four grandchildren, Nicole, Danielle, Nicholas and Christian; four step grandchildren, Kerigan, Micah, Trevor and Travis; five great grandchildren, Emma, Winter, Alice, Ava and Hudson; two step great grandchildren, Jasmyn and Jayden; one step great-great grandson, Atlas; two brothers, Donald K. Eskridge and wife Pamela of Petersburg, WV and David K. Eskridge and wife Carolyn of Hinton, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Dollene was a 1966 graduate of Petersburg High School. She attended Catherman’s Business College in Cumberland, MD and was assistant manager at her family’s business, Sites Restaurant in Petersburg until closing. She worked at the Shining Star Bookstore in Petersburg until the1985 flood. Dollene also was manager for High’s/7-11 both in Petersburg and Moorefield and retired after 33 years.
Dollene’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Bergdoll officiating.
Interment will be in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV.
