Diana S. (Rohrbaugh) Vance

 Diana Sue (Rohrbaugh) Vance, age 72 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

Diana was born on August 7, 1953 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late Otha Lark Rohrbaugh and Dorothy Mae (Reel) Rohrbaugh.  In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by an infant brother, Otha Lark Rohrbaugh, Jr. and two sisters, Linda Rohrbaugh and Delvena D. Phares and three brothers-in-law, Harold “Muggs” Hedrick, Michael Phares and Larmer Davey.

Diana married Steve Allen Vance on December 16, 1995 who survives; also surviving are one son, Allen Mallow (Lisa) of Lahmansville, WV; stepson, Rob Vance (Lisa) of Circleville, WV and six grandchildren, Meghan, Nic, Victoria, Nissa, Trinity and Cary and 15 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Carolene Davey of Maysville, WV and Frances “Fran” Hedrick Hipp (Mike) of Maysville, WV and one brother, Larry Rohrbaugh (Rhonda) of Dorcas, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.

Diana was a 1971 graduate of Petersburg High School and later worked for the FBI in Washington, DC.  She moved back to Petersburg and worked at the various sewing factories in Petersburg, and the former Petersburg Motor Company and retired from Allegheny Dimensions. Diana was a member of Petersburg First Baptist Church.

Diana’s family will receive friends on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM  in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Shannon Earle and Pastor Rick Bergdoll officiating. Interment will be in Maysville Cemetery.

Diana’s family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Petersburg First Baptist Church, 112 Virginia Avenue, Petersburg, WV 26847.
