Derika S. Crites

Derika Shae Crites, age 18, of Maysville, WV passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.

Derika was born September 30, 2001 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of Derek and Jennifer Crites of Maysville, WV.

Derika is survived by her parents, Derek and Jennifer Crites, three sisters, McKenna Crites, Sadie Crites and Karli Crites of Maysville, WV; Maternal Grandparents, Darlene Kessel of Petersburg, WV; Bobby and Missy Whetzel of Moorefield, WV; Paternal Grandparents, Wayne and Lucy Crites of Moorefield, WV; several aunts, uncles,cousins and The Custer Family.  

Derika was a member of Petersburg High School Class of 2020.  She also was a member of Petersburg High Schoool FFA Chapter and Barn Crew Livestock 4-H Club.  She had a passion for farming with her father and grandfather.  She enjoyed showing livestock at the Tri-County Fair, where she made a lifetime of memories and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends hunting, fishing and kayaking.      

Due to the present health concerns, there will be no public visitation.  All services and interment will be private at South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV.
