Derek A. Feaster

Derek Anthony Feaster, age 30 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Friday June 9, 2023 at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV as a result of an automobile accident. 

 Derek was born on June 4, 1993 in Winchester, VA and was a son of Emory William “Bill” Feaster, Jr. (Amanda) of Petersburg, WV and Tracy (Crawford) Wood (Matt) of Old Fields, WV.

 Surviving besides his parents, Derek is survived by his special companion, Samantha Sites, children, Ashton Cole Feaster and Sebastian Liam Feaster both of Petersburg, WV and Ziggi Cree Feaster of Moorefield, WV;  paternal grandmother, Eleanor “Beanie” Feaster of Petersburg, WV; one brother, Tyler Braxton Feaster of Petersburg, WV; an aunt, Tina Bible (Baron) of Cabins, WV. 

Derek was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Paul and Pat Crawford.  Also preceded by Paternal grandfather, Emory W. Feaster; one uncle, Randy Schell.

Derek was a 2011 graduate of Petersburg High School.  He attended Potomac State College and was currently a Quality Assurance Processing Clerk at Pilgrim’s Fresh Plant in Moorefield, WV.

Derek’s organs were donated to Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE) in Pittsburgh, PA.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 14th from 5 – 8 pm at Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. 

Funeral service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with  Pastor Chris Whetzel officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, WV.
