Debra A. (Hanlin) Funk

Debra Ann (Hanlin) Funk, age 66 of Mt. Storm, WV went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Cortland Acres Health & Rehabilitation in Thomas, WV surrounded by her loving family.

Debbie was born on March 23, 1959 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late Harman Eugene “Pick” Hanlin and Audrey Violet (Likens) Hanlin. In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her brother, James “Jamie” Hanlin.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Randy F. Funk; three sons, Brian (Jessica) Funk of Leon, WV, Jason (Kara) Funk of Cumberland, MD and Jeffrey Funk and significant other (Staci) of Mt. Storm, WV six grandsons, Colton, Ethan, Elishah, John, Isaiah and Nathan; two granddaughters, Sidney and Bailey; two sisters, Nancy (Ron) Dolly of Mt. Storm, WV and Peggy (Matt) Hawk of Scherr, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Debbie was a 1977 graduate of Petersburg High School. Debbie was a devoted wife,  mother and grandmother. She enjoyed outdoor activities with her family including  hunting, fishing, camping and picking huckleberries. 

Debbie was a member of Locust Grove Church and loved the Lord with all her heart. Her family rejoices in knowing that Debbie is healed and with her Savior. 

Debbie’s family would like to thank the very special staff and residents at Cortland Acres and thank her dear friend, Cindy and roommate Julia for their friendship and kindness.

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Locust Grove Church.   Family and friends will gather one hour prior to service.

Funeral service will begin at 11 AM with Pastor Kevin Staggs and James Reed officiating.  Burial will be in Cosner Family Cemetery, Mt Storm, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made to Locust Grove Church.
