David W. Weatherholtz

David Wayne Weatherholtz, age 69 of Petersburg, WV passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at his home.  David was born on October 30, 1953 in Keyser, WV and was son of the late Charles William Weatherholtz and Iva Grace (Zirk) Weatherholtz. 

In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by one brother, Lester F. Weatherholtz and three sisters, Margaret Reed, Eunice June Weatherholtz and Edith “Edie” Pruitt.

David is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Regina ((Dawson) Weatherholtz; one daughter, Kristina Jenkins and husband Terry, who he loved with all his heart; three grandchildren, Terry Jenkins, Jr., Travis Wayne Jenkins, Ty William Jenkins and Shawn Jenkins, whom David considered his grandson;  five sisters, Barbara Nesselrodt  (Merl) of Petersburg, WV, Rose Rexroad (Dave) of Gassaway, WV, Betty “Sis” Meek of Williamsport, WV, Emily (Jimmy) Dean of Romney, WV and Rebecca Pennington of Lahmansville, WV; three brothers, Chester Weatherholtz of Lahmansville, WV, Billy “Buck” (Carolyn) Weatherholtz of Lahmansville, WV and John Weatherholtz of Williamsport, WV numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Joe and Stephanie Waldman and Paul Hall all of Petersburg, WV.

David was a retired member of Local Labor Union No 984, Clarksburg, WV and he worked for several local construction companies. 

David’s passion was his family, especially his grandchildren who were his pride and joy.

According to David’s wishes his body will be cremated and all services will be private.
