David L. Scott, Jr.

David Lewis Scott, Jr. age 78 of Petersburg, WV went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at his home. He was born on January 6, 1946 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the late David L. Scott, Sr. and Eva Marie (Hott) Scott.

  David is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia A. “Becky” Shaw Scott; one daughter Shelly Scott Rummer and husband Samuel of Petersburg, WV two grandchildren, Richard L. Mongold and Saige M. Mongold; one sister, Joyce Schetrom and husband Steve of Moorefield, WV and one brother, Joe Scott and wife Diana of Moorefield, WV and several nieces and nephews.

 David owned and operated Trucking and Excavating, T&E in Petersburg, WV. He was Superintendent of the Boot Hill Community Church which his Father founded in 1955.

  A Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled later in the Spring.
