Darlene Kay Pallavicini, age 82 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 surrounded by her family at J.W. Ruby Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Darlene was born on July 12, 1943 in Maysville, WV and was a daughter of the late Carl Dyer Hogbin, Sr. and Twila Maxine “Babe” (Davis) Hogbin.
In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Pallavicini; one son, Mitchell D. Earle, one brother, Garry L. Hogbin and nephew, Christopher Hogbin.
Darlene is survived by one son, Willard L. “Boog” Earle II and wife Pam of Maysville, WV and step-daughter, Molly B. Pallavicini of Staunton, VA; four grandchildren, Casey M. Earle Redman and husband Rocky, Brooke A. Earle Cox and husband Daniel, Jesse C. Earle and wife Jerrica and Alexa “Lexi” C. Earle; two great grandchildren, Eli A. Cox and Jude E. Cox; one sister Bonnie G. Hogbin of Petersburg and one brother, Carl D. Hogbin, Jr. of Petersburg and several nieces and nephews.
Darlene was a 1961 graduate of Petersburg High School and later was a loan officer at Farmers Home Administration in Petersburg and Elkins, West Virginia for nearly 20 years. Darlene was a member of the Petersburg Presbyterian Church.
In her younger years, Darlene spent much of her time playing tennis with her friends. She also enjoyed and took pride in gardening –even in the later years of her life. Most of all, Darlene took pride in her family. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense happiness. Some of Darlene and Bill’s fondest memories were made spending time with family at their beach house in Nags Head, NC.
Darlene will be greatly missed by her beloved dog “Izzy”.
In honoring Darlene’s wishes, her body will be cremated and there will be no services.
