Danny C. Mitters

Danny Claude Mitters, age 72 of Mount Storm, WV passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

Danny was born on February 13, 1950 in Baltimore, MD and was a son of Claudia Hope (Harman) George of Maysville, WV and the late Branson Mitters.

Danny is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lora L. (White) Mitters; one son, Cody (Brittany) Mitters of Upper Tract, WV and one daughter, Cassie (Fred) Vandevander of Petersburg, WV; one grandson and one granddaughter and a grandson who is expected any day; two brothers, Doug (Ellen) Rexrode  and Donald (Debbie) Rexrode, all of Maysville, WV; four sisters, Sharon (Gale) Merritt of New Creek, WV, Sheila Williamson of North Carolina, Suenette (Josh) Kuykendall of Petersburg, WV and Monica Ward of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

Danny attended Petersburg High School.  He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.  He was a retired Boilermaker of Local 45,  Richmond, VA.  Danny was a member of the Locust Grove Church of the Brethren and served as Deacon.

Services and burial will be private in the Cosner-Likens Family Cemetery in Bismarck, WV.
