Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Hardy, age 56, of Petersburg, WV passed away Friday, February 28, 2020 in her home.
She was born October 25, 1963 in Elkins, WV and was the daughter of late Elsie Irene “Dolly” Lewis Weese. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jason Ray Weese.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Brad Hardy; two sons, Bradley Hardy and wife Ginger of Petersburg, WV and Nicholas Hardy and companion Amanda of Petersburg, WV; six grandchildren; Hunter Michael Keplinger, Carter James Hardy, Mark Franklin Hardy, Brently Adrian Hardy, Grayson Fletcher Hardy and Brooks Ryan Hardy; one brother, Wilfred Hinchman of Elkins, WV; Mother-in-law, Mary Lou Hardy, resident of Pendleton Manor in Franklin, WV.; two sisters, Ella Grace Taylor and husband Kevin of Beverly, WV and Tanya Lynn and husband Steve Shrader of Beverly, WV; several aunts, including a special aunt and uncle, Ruby and Bill Phillips and their daughter Holly of Moorefield, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Cindy graduated from Elkins High School. She was a childcare provider for several years and worked at Lewis Greenhouse in Petersburg. Cindy was a member of the Petersburg Fireman Auxiliary.
Cindy’s family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM (March 2, 2020) at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.
To honor Cindy’s wishes, her remains will be cremated.
