Curtis Lee Iman, Jr, known as “June”, age 79 of Petersburg, WV went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.
He was born March 10, 1941 in Winchester, VA and was a son of the late Curtis L. Iman, Sr. and Leona (Alexander) Iman. In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Iman and Gerald Iman; brother-in-law, Tommy Strawderman.
Curtis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nellie (Whetzel) Iman
One son: Roger Lee Iman and wife Judy of Petersburg, WV
Four sisters: Rose VanMeter and husband Donald of Cabins, WV
Sharon Strawderman of Mathias, WV
Alice Shultz and husband Arlie of Mathias, WV
Wilma Phillips and husband Steve of Brenham, TX
One brother: Sheldon Iman of Petersburg, WV
Several nieces and nephews.
“June” worked with his father, Curtis Iman in the Iman Truck Body Shop in Petersburg for several years. He retired from the City of Petersburg after 18 years. He enjoyed spending time talking with his friends at McDonalds and Shop N Save in Petersburg.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 2 PM at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg with Pastor Doyle Patch. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
