Cleta Susan (Heavener) Goldizen, age 94, of Maysville, WV passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.
Cleta was born on November 30, 1926, in Cabins, WV and was a daughter of the late Walter Issac Heavener and Rosie Belle (Goldizen) Heavener.
In addition to her parents, Cleta was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Martin Junior “June” Goldizen on April 1, 2020; one son, Archie Martin Goldizen; infant grandson, Brandon Goldizen; two brothers, Roscoe Heavener and Leo Heavener; one sister, Mary Carr.
Cleta is survived by two sons, Eddie G. (Joann) Goldizen of Maysville, WV and Daniel “Danny” (Sandy) Goldizen of Maysville, WV; one daughter, Carolyn (Marvin) Crites of Petersburg, WV; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; one sister, Leatha (Delmar)Vance of Cabins, WV.
Cleta was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Grant Memorial Hospital for many years and retired from Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV. She was a lifelong
member of the Jordan Run Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be Friday, July 16, 2021, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Donaldson and Pastor Rick Bergdoll officiating.
Family will receive friends from 11 AM till time of service at 1 PM
Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery
