Clela Katherine (Phares) Keplinger Lyon, age 88, of Lahmansville, WV passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.
Clela was born October 15, 1931 in Maysville, WV and was a daughter of the late Otis Phares and Fannie (Kisamore) Phares.
In addition to her parents, Clela was married twice and preceded in death by Lawrence A. Keplinger in 1966 and Malcolm Lyon in 2002; great grandson, Skyler Rose, four sisters, Macie Kile, Sylvia Keplinger, Clarice Evans and infant Glossie Phares; five brothers, Boyd Phares, James Phares , Dawes Phares , George Phares and infant Carl Phares.
Clela is survived by two sons, Darwin (Heather) Keplinger of Lahmansville, WV and Randy A. (Eleanor) Keplinger of Lahmansville, WV; two daughters, Sharon (Paul) Keplinger of Maysville, WV and Elaine (George) Welling of Moorefield, WV; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; one brother, Rev. Kenneth (Hilda) Phares of Cabins, WV.
Clela retired from Joan Curtis Manufacturing Sewing Factory in Petersburg. She was a member of Lahmansville United Methodist Church and attended Maysville Bible Brethren Church.
Due to the present public health concerns, graveside service will be Friday, March 20, 2020 at 11 AM in the Lahmansville Cemetery with Pastor Lynn Durbin officiating. Interment will follow in Lahmansville Cemetery.
