Carolyn E. (Cullers) Ketterman

 Carolyn Elizabeth (Cullers) Ketterman, age 81 of Petersburg, WV went to her Heavenly Home on Monday, January 6, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

 Carolyn was born on January 6, 1944 in Moorefield, WV and was a daughter of the late George William Cullers and Minnie Rachel (Mongold) Cullers. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Arno L. Ketterman in 2017; two grandchildren, Brylei Adelle Ketterman and David Allen Sions; five sisters, Rosella Alice Cullers, Nettie Susan Cullers, Lily Mary Cullers, Ruth Odessa Ketterman and Naomi Ayers; five brothers, Donald William Cullers, Charles Edward Cullers, Bobby Gene Cullers, Virgil Vernon Cullers and Rev. Eston Lee Cullers.

Carolyn is survived by three sons, Bobbie L. Ketterman (Lisa) of Petersburg, WV, Brock A. Ketterman (Heather) of Lewiston, NC and Arno L. Ketterman Jr. (Amy) of Purgitsville, WV; three daughters, Debbie L. Crites (Ronnie) of Moorefield, WV, Melissa A. Sions (Sheldon) of Fisher, WV, Teresa L. Shirk of Petersburg, WV; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, nine great -great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren; one brother, Rev. Harold G. Cullers (Jana) of Moorefield, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Carolyn was known for taking care of her family and others.  You never left her home without eating.  She loved to cook, bake and can foods from her garden. She loved going to yard sales and was a thrifty shopper. She was a Christian by faith.  She was quite a seamstress and enjoyed quilting and making blankets for her grandchildren.  She found time to watch her favorite game shows and horror movies on television.

Carolyn’s family will receive family and friends on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 11 AM – 1:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bradley Thorne officiating. Burial will follow in the Sites Cemetery on Elkhorn Road, Dorcas, WV.
