Carol Ours Obituary
Carol Ann Ours, age 68 of Petersburg, WV passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Grant Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 5, 1945 in Grant County, WV and was a daughter of the late Richard Stanley Hoover and Ethel V. (Bergdoll) Yokum.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Ours on June 3, 2013, one brother, Kenneth Hoover and one step son, Jeffrey R. Ours.
Carol had a love for her family. She enjoyed gardening, landscaping and dog grooming. She had a special love for her pets. She was a member of the Petersburg Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Tammy (Herbie) Kimble of Cabins, WV, Kim (Jeff) See of Petersburg, WV and Leslie (Tyler) Kuhn of Petersburg, WV.; one son, Tim (Amy) Harman of Petersburg, WV.; three step daughters, Jane (Dewey) Bensenhaver of Petersburg, WV., Judy (Dave) Cooper of Fairmont, WV., and Jenny (Courtney) Harney of Fairmont, WV.; one step son, John Ours of Petersburg, WV; twenty-two grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Friday 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Saturday 11 a.m. (March 29, 2014) at Petersburg Presbyterian Church with Rev. Richard Cardot officiating.
Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association, 4301 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 530, Arlington, VA 22203.
