Bobby Otis Kite, age 77, of Petersburg, WV passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
Bobby was born on March 24, 1944 in Petersburg, WV and was the son of the late Otis Lee Kite and Virginia Adeline (Kesner) Bouldin. In addition to his parents Bobby was preceded in death by his step father and mother, Cletis “Lightning” Bouldin and Beatrice Kite; brother-in-law, Andy Del Negro.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Martha “Marti” (Keplinger) Kite; five children, Tabbetha “Tabby” (Eddie) Sites of Petersburg, WV, Robert “Bobby” ( Sabrina) Kite of Petersburg, WV, Tiffanie (Roger) Wilkinson of Bridgeport, WV, Bill (Clara) Bauserman of Seymour, IN, Russell (Jennifer) Bauserman of Ashburn, VA; fourteen grandchildren, Stephanie Sites, Matthew Sites, Megan Kite, Jon Kite, Travis Harding, Logan Thorne, Mollie Wilkinson, Emma Wilkinson, Kaylee Bauserman, Hunter Bauserman, Tanner Bauserman, Sophia Bauserman, Heather Trumble, Sarah Trumble. three great grandchildren, Allie Zirk, Ashlynn Zirk and Gabe Funk; one sister, Joyce Del Negro of Petersburg, WV and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Bobby graduated from Petersburg High School class of 1963. He worked in Virginia as a Union Carpenter for 20 years and later owned and operated Kite’s Chicken Ranch in Petersburg for the past 35 years. Bobby was a member of the Mountain State Car Club and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved watching John Wayne movies, but above all he loved spending time with his family and enjoyed his social breakfast club with his buddies. He was a member of Dorcas Baptist Church and attended Rig Assembly of God Church and Cornerstone Family Fellowship.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 – 8 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.
Funeral service will be 11 AM Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor P. J. Landis and Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Sites Cemetery on Elkhorn Road, Petersburg, WV.
Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Family Fellowship or Dorcas Baptist Church or Charity of Choice.
