Beulah Hinkle Obituary
Beulah Esther (Simmons) Neeley Hinkle, age 89, of Petersburg, WV passed away Tuesday at the Grant County Nursing Home.
Born August 10, 1924 in Rough Run, WV and was a daughter of the late Arlie Edwin Simmons and Cora (Sites) Simmons.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Neeley in 1975 and her second husband, Earl Hinkle in 2010; one sister, Hazel (Simmons) Crites.
Beulah graduated from Petersburg High School in 1944 and attended Fairmont Nursing School. She was employed at Springfield State Hospital in Sykesville, MD and Seton Catholic Nursing Home in Reistertown, MD.
After her husband's death, she moved back to Rough Run, WV in 1977 and worked at Franklin Nursing Home and Petersburg Clinic.
In 1980 she married Earl Hinkle and worked at the New Market Nursing Home until she retired. After Mr. Hinkle's death in 2010 she moved back to Rough Run, WV.
Mrs. Hinkle was a former member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in New Market, VA and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Petersburg, WV
She is survived by two sons, Ronald C. Neeley and wife Cheryl of Madison, VA and Donald E. Neeley of Rough Run, WV; two grandchildren, Michael Neeley and wife Christal and Tina Moore and husband Mike all of Madison, VA; two great grandchildren, Chance Neeley and Benjamin Moore; one brother, Galen H. Simmons of Rough Run, WV; three step children, Earl M. Hinkle and wife Gwen, Stephen Hinkle and Pam Ryman and husband Orville, all of New Market, VA; five step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Friday (August 1) from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m with Pastor Larry M. Cantu officiating.
Graveside service will be on Saturday (August 2) at 1 pm in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD with Pastor Larry M. Cantu.
