Betty Jean (Judy) Greenawalt, age 85 of Petersburg, WV went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg.
Betty was born on December 21, 1939 in Landes, WV and was a daughter of the late Eston Harry Judy and Delphia Mae (Kesner) Judy.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by four sisters, Anna Mae Martin, Arvella Sites, Lovetta Alt and Juanita Crites; two brothers, Donald Judy and Harry Judy.
Betty was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years. Allen J. Greenawalt; three daughters, Jean Collins (Allen) of Petersburg, WV, Lori Feaster (Allen) of Stephenson, VA and Michele Greenawalt Pool of Front Royal, VA. Four grandchildren, Christopher Collins, Jacob Feaster, Corey Collins and Jeremiah (Makalyn) Feaster; three step grandchildren, Caitlin Pool, Carlene Pool and Collin Pool; four great grandchildren, Caiden Nelson, Chase Collins, Kylo Collins and Finley Feaster; two step great grandchildren, Keirra Baul and Liam Pool and several nieces and nephews.
In earlier years Betty was a bookkeeper for the former Judy Creamery and former Armentrout’s Grocery in Petersburg. Betty was a cashier for the BP Station in Petersburg for several years. She also was an Avon consultant for 40 years. Betty was a Christian by faith.
Betty’s family will receive friends on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.
Funeral service will be on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel with Betty’s nephew, Daniel Meadows and son-in-law, Allen Feaster.
Burial will be in Lahmansville Cemetery.
