Betty L. (Hedrick) Collins

Betty Lee Collins, age 91 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Moran Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Westernport, MD.

Betty was born on October 28, 1934 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late Roscoe Lacy Hedrick and Emma Rachel (Yankey) Hedrick. 

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Hedrick and the father of her children, Roby S. Collins. Betty was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Betty is survived by three sons, L. Scott Collins of Gambrills, MD, Michael Collins and wife, Felicity of King George, VA and Allen Collins and wife, Jean of Petersburg, WV and two daughters, Lori Collins Lantz and Emily Collins, both of Petersburg, WV; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

 Betty was a graduate of Petersburg High School and was a member of the Petersburg First Baptist Church. She enjoyed nature and the company of her pets. 

 Services will be private and burial will be private in Lahmansville Cemetery.
