Arthur "Bud" Sites, Sr.

Arthur Elmer “Bud” Sites, Sr.  age 93, of Petersburg passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

 Mr. Sites was born December 7, 1925 in Kline, WV and was a son of the late Floyd Eston Sites and Dorothy Merle (Smith) Sites.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen J. (Whetzel) Sites in 2016; one granddaughter, Samantha Hendrix; one brother, Orvan Guy “Pete” Sites, Sr. and one sister, Evelene Sites Kesner. 

Mr. Sites is survived by three sons, Arthur E. “Butch” Sites, Jr. and wife Pat of Upper Tract, WV, Gary Sites and wife Marie of Deep Spring, WV, and Ronnie Sites and wife Jenny of Petersburg, WV; two daughters, Phyllis Hendrix and husband Dave of Petersburg, WV and Rita See and husband Dave of Rig, WV; four grandchildren, Lacee Sites Kesner and husband C. J.,   Casey Sites, Michael Kimble and Chris Kimble and wife Cherish; three great grandchildren, Seirrah Kimble,  Eliana Kimble and Evelyn Kimble; one sister, Twila May of Maysville, WV; two brothers, Johnny Sites of Dorcas, WV and Jim Sites and wife Barbara of Petersburg, WV; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sites was a lifelong farmer and retired from Rockingham Poultry in 1979.  He enjoyed gardening,  hunting and fishing.    

Family will receive friends Monday, May 20, 2019 from noon  till 1:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  Funeral service will follow at 1:00  PM with Pastor Lynn Rohrbaugh officiating.  Interment will follow in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV.
