Arlyn Keith Haslacker, age 67, of Petersburg, WV, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg.
Arlyn was born on August 18, 1953 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the late Vernon L. Haslacker and Faye Alta (Judy) Haslacker. He was preceded in death by his brothers Doron Haslacker and Kerlyn L. Haslacker; maternal grandparents, Ray and Ila (Park) Judy, paternal grandparents, Ernest and Eliza (Warnick) Haslacker.
Arlyn is survived by his wife of 44 years, Becky (Cooper) Haslacker; his son Garrick K. Haslacker & Whitney (Rushford) of Maysville, WV; his two daughters, Aleshia R. (Haslacker) Lilly & Austin of Hinton, WV; Vanessa L. (Haslacker) Harper & David of Seneca Rocks, WV; one sister in law Pearl (Rinker) Haslacker of Maysville, WV and two nieces; and his eight precious grandchildren, Avery Lilly, Cole L. Harper, Annalyn Lilly, Mason Harper, Vaylee Harper, Gavin Haslacker, Aubrey Haslacker, and Luke Haslacker. He also leaves behind his faithful and loving dog, Ashley.
Arlyn was a 1972 graduate of Petersburg High School. He graduated from Potomac State College, West Virginia University, and received his Masters from Marshall University. Arlyn was a VoAg teacher for 30 years where he also coached football, volleyball, & wrestling. Arlyn retired from the Army National Guard 201st Field Artillery. He deployed to Iraq for Operation Desert Storm. He was an active member of the Potomac Highlands VFW Post 6454 and Petersburg American Legion Post 78. He was a hard worker and also worked at 7-11, Shop-N-Save, and on the family farm. He enjoyed walking Ashley every night and spoiling her with all kinds of treats.
Military Graveside Service will be Friday, February 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV by the West Virginia Army National Guard and the Rev. Ann W. Harrison.
