Arlie W. Michael

 Arlie Wayne Michael, age 80 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

Arlie was born on November 21, 1944 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the late Lyle Michael and Ora (Cosner) Michael. 

In addition to his parents, Arlie was preceded in death by his wife Darlene (Ketterman) Michael in 2022; two sisters, Katherine Bennett and Audrey Winters; six brothers, John Michael, Ray Michael, Earl Michael, Glenn Michael, Thomas Michael and Bob Michael.

Arlie is survived by one sister Mary (Michael) Poling of Slanesville, WV and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family Don Neeley of Petersburg.

Arlie worked at Malcolm’s orchard and Milleson’s farm for several years and retired from Allegheny Wood Products in Petersburg, WV.  He loved to hunt and fish, especially Coon hunting. Arlie was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Petersburg, WV.

The family would like to give their sincere thanks to Don Neeley for the care given to Arlie.

 A funeral service will be Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 2 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with Rev. Pat Pittsnogle.

Family will receive friends from 11 AM till time of service.

Interment will follow in the Simmons Family Cemetery, Deep Springs, Petersburg, WV.

 Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
