Anna Belle (Sherman) Harper

Anna Belle (Sherman) Harper, age 78 of Cabins, WV passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.

Anna Belle was born on May 3, 1944 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late Theodore “Buck” Sherman and Goldie Marie (Sites) Sherman. 

In addition to her parents, Anna Belle was preceded in death by her foster parents, Harman and Tressie Sites; an infant daughter, Beverly Ruth Helmick; one son, Ramson Dean Sherman; three brothers, Ray Sherman, Mick Sherman and Bub Sherman; sister, Tressie “Sis” Heavener.

Anna Belle is survived by two sons, Ricky L. Helmick of Cabins, WV and Randy W. (Karen) Helmick of Moorefield, WV; three grandchildren, Shana (Ryan) Porter, Shawn Helmick and Olivia Helmick; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anna Belle attended Circleville High School and later was employed with the Grant County Commission on Aging as a Home Health Care Giver. 

Funeral service will be 1:00  PM Sunday, July 10, 2022 in the chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Shannon Earle officiating. Family will receive friends from 11 AM till time of service at 1 PM on Sunday. 

 Burial will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, WV.
