Angie Lee (Hanlin) Idleman, age 83 of Maysville, WV died on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in Maysville, WV. Born on August 20, 1941 in Cumberland, Maryland and was a daughter of the late Clyde Delmer Hanlin and Lena Catherine (Hesse) Hanlin.
In addition to her parents, Angie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Dale Idleman in 2019 and an infant daughter, Lora Sue Idleman and son, Jeffrey Dale Idleman.
Angie was a 1959 graduate of Bayard High School in Bayard, WV. She carried the lessons of her youth throughout her life, imparting kindness wherever she went. Angie’s interests were as varied as they were deep, with a particular fondness for the arts. Her musical talents were extraordinary, and she could often be found playing the piano and organ. Her love of cooking and reading were another source of joy. Her spirit, characterized by her love of music and nature, will continue to inspire and guide those who knew Angie. Her melody will resonate in the lives she touched. Angie was a member of the Brick Covenant Brethren Church in Maysville, WV where she was the pianist and organist for the past 30 years.
Angie is survived by her daughter, Mary (Idleman) Simmons and husband Garry of Scherr, WV and her cherished grandchildren, Haley Simmons and Jacob Simmons and his wife Makala.
A Celebration of life service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the Brick Covenant Brethren Church with the Rev. Randy Cosner and Rev. Bob Spaid officiating.
Interment will be private in the Mount Storm Cemetery, Mount Storm, WV.
